Introducing...

NagVis is a visualization addon for the well known network managment system Nagios.

NagVis can be used to visualize Nagios Data, e.g. to display IT processes like a mail system or a network infrastructure.

Execute Commands on Remote Hosts from NagVis process returned output

1

In addition to showing off the status of a group of processes from within NagVis, it would be really useful to be able to take actions, that is, to execute remote commands form within the NagVis GUI itself.

This would open a new world of possibilities!!!

Nagios+NagVis could be used not only as a Monitoring software but also as a Control system, capable of enabling system admins and other users to start/check/stop processes and get the output returned to NagVis!!!

Further to that, post-processing of the output could also enable us to create alerts or confirmation windows on the GUI!!! :)
