Read config files across multiple pollers

-1

We have an automated system that breaks up Nagios config files and publishes them to different pollers. We looked at NagVis, but it only handles one host. I would like NagVis to have the capability to generate its graphs from multiple hosts.

You have the option to support ideas and featues by donating.

Features with donations will get more attention and will propably be implemented faster.

How the supporting system works

You as a supporter of a feature specify one or several things you like to give to the solver for getting the feature request solved. It can be for example a bunch of coins but some developers migth also be happy about some beer donations ;-).

Posting your donation to a feature is seen as a willigness to support this feature. It is no binding offer. Once the feature gets targeted to be solved, we will contact you with more details.

Thanks for the answer. I personnaly vote to close this feature request, as it is more a misunderstanding of the nagvis capabilities. Unless the original poster can clarify, I vote to close this. Thank you once again for the great work.

This is possible since a long time. You can configure the backend_id for each object you like fetch from another backend (-> broker).

LaMi. Can you confirm that in a single map, Nagvis can get status data for hosts on two different brokers. (Via the Livestatus protocol)
My understanding is that a map is limited to a single broker, but that a different map can get data from a different broker.

We would like to have a single map being able to get data from multiple brokers. We would vote for that.

You mean you want to get data from multiple nagios instances? Take a look at the backend documentation. This is what you need.
